Mother's milk is an investment in your baby's health, now and for life!

The benefits of breastfeeding - healthy for the baby, healthy for the mother.

Breastfeeding supports an emotional bond between the mother and children. It also has a direct impact on the health of the nursing mother and the baby.

From a medical and scientific point of view, there is no better food than Mother's milk. These days, anything that can give so much to both the mum and the baby has not been invented. Mother's milk has many immunoreactive ingredients that reduce the risk of infection in a child. The Lactoferrin reduces the growth of bacteria and increases the beneficial microflora in the intestines. The cytokine is responsible for the maturation and multiplication of immune cells, and these are some examples. Mother's milk also has stem cells that migrate to the organs which need to be "repaired" and they have the ability to turn into a cell of a specific organ.

Along with mother's milk, the child receives a whole package of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, microelements, and biologically active ingredients (hormones, enzymes, ingredients stimulating the development of the intestinal microflora). Delivered with milk huge amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids are necessary for the development of the brain and nerve cells.

It all “programs” your child's future health - it reduces the risk of infection, overweight, diabetes, allergies, and high blood pressure.

Breastfeeding also has a lot of benefits for mothers - studies show a lower risk of breast and ovarian cancer among breastfeeding mothers. These mothers are also less likely to suffer from osteoporosis - especially during menopause. The hormones produced during breastfeeding help mums return to the form they were in before pregnancy and childbirth.

Remember, the longer you breastfeed, the better for you and your baby.

Electronic breast pump - active mom recommends.

Especially electronic neno breast pumps are recommended by active mothers. Why? Because they do not always have an option to feed their kids directly from the breast. What is more, regular pumping is not only important for mums' health but also allows them to prepare food in advance when they are not around.

If you want to continue breastfeeding and get back into professional or social activity -you need to provide your baby with food while you are away. You can start expressing your milk a few months before you return to work and freeze it in the bags, or you can take the breast pump with you to work and express excess milk when needed. Then we recommend choosing a quiet and small breast pump.

The most important features of the breast pump are: - portable and cordless
- light and quiet, so you can express milk anywhere
- small size to fit into your bag
- imitating the natural suckling process of a baby (3 phases)
- safe materials safe
- long tubes for better pumping comfort
- possibility of pumping two breasts at once

It's time for active women - meet the neno Camino.

If you are breastfeeding and want to go back to work, plan ahead. A few weeks in advance, practice expressing your milk with an electronic breast pump, as well as giving your baby a bottle of milk. You both need to get used to the new methods.

Scientific research has proven that expressing milk from two breasts at the same time is much more efficient than alternating pumping, i.e. by adding a breast pump to one breast or the other one. Double pumping allows you to increase your milk intake by as much as 18%, and this formula has more fat and nutritional value than alternating milk.

The new neno Camino breast pump is dedicated to modern mothers who not only want to return to work but also pay attention to the appearance, design and functionality of the devices. The neno Camino double breast pump definitely stands out on the market not only with its elegant design but also with its 3-phase operation mode. So what is this?

Simply put, the 3 phases of the breast pump's operation imitate the child's suckling method. The first movements are quick and shallow, deepening over time, and eventually fading away as the baby falls asleep while feeding. This is exactly how the 3 phases of the neno Camino work.

1st phase - stimulation mode. The sucking movements are fast and shallow, they increase the work of the mammary glands and increase the prolactin in the blood.

2nd phase - deep pumping mode. The suction movements are deeper and longer, during which the milk is pumped into the bottles via non-return valves.

3rd phase - mixed / release mode slowly extinguishes suction and imitates the baby falling asleep while feeding. This mode is also used to stimulate lactation naturally by emptying the breast. The breast pump turns off automatically after 30 minutes of operation.

The neno Angelo breast pump is also equipped with 3 phases, which in 2021 has already won two awards - the Parents' Award and the Highest Quality International emblem. We are not surprised, neno Angelo is light, mobile, recommended for cesarean section and for the birth of a premature baby. In addition, it is equipped with an LED lamp to make pumping at night even more comfortable.

How often feed the baby?

During the first six months of the year, the child should be placed on the breast an average of 8-12 times a day. Over time, the daily number of feedings will decrease. Feed your baby "on-demand" - whenever it needs to be fed. Always feed as needed, never according to the clock.

Cordless breast pumps will let you express your milk to feed your baby when you are away. The electric breast pump will also help you empty the breast when you feel the need to do so.

How long should you breastfeed?

The answer to the question "how long to breastfeed" is simple - the longer the better. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that you exclusively breastfeed your baby until the age of 6 months. From 6 to 24 months, you should start to expand your baby's diet with other products, while still feeding your mother's natural milk.

However, neither the WHO nor another health organization has an upper limit on when to breastfeed. It is an individual choice and decision of a nursing mother.

What to eat while breastfeeding?

The diet of a nursing mother should be varied and nutritious throughout the entire period of lactation and breastfeeding. There are no specific guidelines or superfoods. You can eat raw vegetables, 2-3 servings of fruit and the same amount of dairy products, twice as many grains, 1-2 servings of meat, fish, or eggs, and the same amount of oils rich in unsaturated acids.

You do not need to eliminate raspberries, nuts or strawberries from your diet, unless such elimination is medically based. You can introduce an elimination diet only under the supervision of a doctor or dietitian if there is a suspicion of allergy.

Remember that your proper diet is needed not only for breastfeeding, but also for caring for your baby, and this requires a lot of energy.

Some facts about breastfeeding:

- Mum's milk is a bioactive substance that has not been copied to this day!

- milk changes its composition and nutritional value during the development of lactation. Adapts to the baby's changing and growing nutritional needs

- breastfeeding supports natural regeneration and allows the uterus to return to its pre-birth size

- the baby itself controls the flow of milk by creating a vacuum with the mouth with the tongue: it sucks, swallows and breathes. Neno breast pumps mimic your baby's suckling rhythm

- nearly 75% of mothers produce more milk in their right breast

- each time the breast is empty while pumping, it triggers more milk production

- the baby sucks on the breast until the hunger is satisfied and not until the breast is "empty"

- milk immediately after delivery, the so-called "colostrum", due to the richness of nutrients, is also called immune milk

- mother's milk is the first "vaccine" for a child

- breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast and ovarian cancer in mothers

- the amount of milk in your breasts depends on your hormones and not on the amount or type of drink you consume

- during feeding, both the mother's and the baby's brains release oxytocin - the happiness hormone

- in mum's milk there are stem cells that can change into any cell in the baby's body

- Boy's mother's milk has a different composition than that of a girl's mother's. Boys have a greater energy requirement - protein and fat, and the milk of a nursing mother contains more calcium.
